GO GO Gadget Trannie! - NSFW

Did I mention that they had Go GO dancers there? Like... uhm.... transtastic Go GO dancers?

My inner Cosby Kid revolted when I peeped the show, But after one of the Go GO dancers not only got 3 of my friends in ( free) and then hooked my homegirl up with a gift card from JCrew (Go GO girl said that they clothes weren't her style) I just had to shoot her.

Nice people are my favorite people in the world. Check out GoGO 1 and GoGO 2 going at it on the stairs.

These were the tame pics. If I showed you what they did on the bar.................. Baby..... u aint ready.

See...

Alice Returns

Last night, I was sittin with my homegirl, Keisha (eating a fruit salad and getting foggy) and we got to talking about our favorite children's stories. Mine has always been "The Gift of the Maji" -- google it.

Hers on the other hand was Alice and Wonderland. I was like "Really? So you like mushrooms and happy pills?" And she was like, "uhm.. I'm a mother now Dex, I only smoke weed. And I can only do that every other weekend when my kids are with their Daddy or with my Mama"
Then I was like, " Bitch please *giggle*, yo kids is in the other room right now" as I passed her the fogg machine.

She took a puff, looked me dead in my eye and said, "yeah, but that's waaaaay in the back and its 3 in the mornin. Mama cant fly on one wing alone".

I grinned.

She gave me the side eye, and said 2 of my favorite sentences - in the language of the skreets.

"Dexter, u wanna roll? Did u bring yo camera"

I immediately thought of this set of pics that I never got around to editing..... I told her to get about 3 pulls while I connected the camera to her 52 inch flat screen (did I mention that she lives in the Projects?) 'cause the othe side of Manhattan is a Galaxy away form the life she lives.

Her eyes lit up. She turned into the Keisha I met when I first got to NYC. The uber fabulous ethnically vague girl (I still don't know if she's Black, Pueto Rican, Mixed, Jewish, Arab, Italian, Trini , Indian.... You cant tell from lookin at her) walkin down 125th street lookin like Alicia Keys 1.0 - braids and all.

"Yeeeeeeeeeees MAMA!" she yelled. Then, she whispered in the MOST conspiritorial tone, "Dexter, These Men?".

I hit the fogg machine, looked her right in the eye and said, "Baby, they are anything they want to be. "

And we laughed.

Speaking of the Future

Check out my new Biz Card!

Greeting The Press

Question: What do Bloggers, Podcasters, Youtube VJ’s, and Online Journalists have in common?

Answer: They are the modern media personalities and communicators changing the way we receive data and information. Computer technology is making it faster and easier to create, produce and distribute entertainment and news content. Unfortunately, there is an all too small and exclusive group that have benefited from the financial success of this new wave of technology and services.

Yesterday, New York City based multi-media company, The Future, hosted a meeting for all the web bloggers and YOuTubers in the NYC area with hopes of targeting the Black LGBT consumer. The Future’s mission is to be leaders in the community by informing people around the world about whom we are and then empowering, entertaining, and engaging these people so that they may face the challenges of today’s society. They do this by reflecting a spotlight on stories about us that will encourage others to seek respect from a diverse and complex world, while showcasing diverse interests within Black LGBT culture spanning entertainment, news, social networking, business, travel, fashion and sports.

And for the Fashionistas our there: Check out the YSL's that Miss Sistah Honey was wearing... on a MONDAY. I luv women *sigh*

Then Drew Had A Party

Yeah Yeah Yeah, another get together at the Famous 30st Loft. The guys were there. The girls were there. The drinks were there. We even had some Russians "real life Moscovites" .

As Usual, I remember gettin to the party with my homegirls Sha'vonne.... then some how I ended up on a porch in BK talkin to a pugg dog. ANd after that, I woke up at home.

Strange, but hey -- whats a party at Drew's without a lost sense of time and direction?

:)

Check out some of the pics from this great time.

First I found Myself

Iight,

Finding Me the Movie is Awesome. I use caps because its True.

You know, I like this so movie so much that I ts hard for me to put it into words. So I'm just gonna lift a few from their myspace page

"This is a story of one young man’s journey to self-acceptance and self-love. This is also a story that lies close to our hearts, because we have all taken the trip to “Finding Ourselves”. “Finding Me” This story begins with a question, “What am I doing with my life?” Faybien Allen begins his journey to self-discovery with the aid of his two best friends, Amera and Greg. He also plays the teacher at times to these friends as well. Faybien’s father’s disappointment looms over any of his achievements or progress toward self acceptance until a stranger enters his life. Lonnie’s love for Faybien allows him to open his eyes, heart and mind. As he begins his journey he is introduced to a character, which proves just how harsh life can be and the unfortunate outcomes of poor decisions. This individual forces Faybien to accept his responsibility for his actions, and provides a new obstacle for him on his journey to self-acceptance. Faybien’s emotions are defined by guilt and sadness, because he has not accepted the loss of someone close to him. Will young Faybien accept who he is? Will he take responsibility for his life and gain control? Watch and see."

See... I told you it was good. :)
